Former Cricketer Kevin Pietersen chooses UAE over the UK to host important Finals in the future. According to him the weather and facilities both are good enough in UAE to arrange a test match properly.
After most of the WTC Final washed out by rain, ICC is facing criticism from all end. The reserve day is already active but there is not much hope to get any desiring result.
Fans are also annoyed with this kind of situation. They are expressing their disappointment on social media. Many former cricketers are also expressing their disappointment for the ICC’s desicion.
Pietersen on the WTC Final venue
Kevin Pietersen suggested that the ICC should refrain from hosting such an important game in the United Kingdom because of the unpredictable nature of weather in the country.
“It pains me to say it, but a ONE-OFF & incredibly important cricket game should NOT be played in the UK,” Pietersen tweeted.
“If it was up to me, Dubai would always host a one off match like this WTC game. Neutral venue, fabulous stadium, guaranteed weather, excellent training facilities and a travel hub! Oh, and ICC home is next to the stadium,” read Pietersen’s tweet.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag criticized both players and the ICC and said they both got their timings wrong.
India had scored 217 runs in the first innings. In reply, the Kiwis had put 249 runs losing all wickets. India is now at 64 runs losing both the openers. Virat Kohli and Pujara are now at the center.
The bowlers from both the side had done pretty well so far. Ishant and Shami had bowled really well for India. Jamieson, Wagner, and Southee are doing the job for Kiwis as well.
There is a very liitle chance to get a specific winner of the WTC. But the way the match progressed was dissapointing and heart breaking for cricket lovers all over the world.
