Mount

Liverpool are interested in signing English midfielder Mason Mount this summer from rival PL club Chelsea.

Mount is currently having a discussion about his contract at Chelsea. But the Blues are not convinced that they can keep players for the future in the club. And as per The Evening standards, Liverpool can be beneficiary of this situation.

Though Liverpool are not the only club, both Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in the Chelsea man. Mount desires to be a one-club player. However, as per reports this wish is being tested now.

If the 24-year-old leaves the club, he will join one of the top clubs. Although Klopp’s side are leading the race whereas United manager Ten Heg is also claimed to be a huge fan of Mount’s playing style.

With Chelsea keen on bringing more firepower next season, Mount might leave the club for more playing time.

MOUNT CAN BE THE PERFECT PLAYER FOR KLOPP’S SIDE

Liverpool will be eager to sign Mason Mount this summer. However, being a quality player, he can help their struggling midfield which lacks quality players. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will depart next season and the future of James Milner is under threat, Liverpool needs someone to step-up in these roles.

If the Reds manage to buy Jude Bellingham in the next transfer window, Mount can partner him in the midfield.

Earlier in 2019, Jurgen Klopp termed him as a €60 million player’ as German is a huge fan of his talent. Football pundit Joe Cole labeled Mount as “unbelievable“.

Liverpool are looking to take advantage of Mount’s situation at Chelsea and might land him up to Anfield next season. But it still feels, Blues will resolve the situation.
