According to the Football London, Chelsea can make up to £200m in total from Player sales. This can also help Chelsea to sort out the Conor Gallagher situation. Chelsea will need to sell some players this summer as the new manager Enzo Maresca will look to rebuild. Many Chelsea players are in an uncertain situation with their position in the squad for the next season. Chelsea will also need to sell players to avoid Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR) of the Premier League. These rules state that any signing in the transfer window can be done only with the revenue generated from sales of players. This also mean that money from other sources of income like sponsors cannot be used to sign players. Chelsea squad is already stacked with youngsters signed in the previous seasons by the club. However Chelsea may need more signings.
This situation arise due to many Chelsea signings unable to perform last season. Many players took their time to adapt to the English football or got injured. Chelsea played majority of their season without their captain Reece James. They were lucky they were saved by Cole Palmer. The youngster had his breakout season with Chelsea after moving from Manchester City. It is expected there will be lack of game time in a stacked Manchester City squad. Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino decided to give Cole Palmer a chance last season and he did not disappoint. He suited well in Pochettino’s tactics of aggressive and direct play. His penalty taking abilities were also complemented with this type of play up front. Palmer almost ended the season as the top scorer of the Premier League. He was selected in the Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euros.
Conor Gallagher might stay after Player sales

Mauricio Pochettino put his trust in him in a lot of matches. He was important in the North London derby against Tottenham where majority of squad was injured. He was also selected for the Euro 24 squad by Gareth Southgate. Gallagher started many games for the Three Lions in the midfield alongside Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. However Chelsea have still not given Conor Gallagher a new contract. Being a starter for Chelsea and England team he is linked with many clubs this summer.
However Chelsea can avoid selling him if there are enough sales this summer. Chelsea can sell youngster Trevoh Chalobah this summer. The youngster may struggle for game time next season and can leave the club for £25m. Chelsea can sell another youngster Armando Broja who went on loan earlier to Fulham. He can leave for £30m after his loan move was a bit disappointing. The most unexpected name on the list will be goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The goalkeeper went to Real Madrid earlier this season and was injured there as well. Chelsea can sell him for £30m after making him one of the most expensive goalkeeper earlier. The last player to be sold will be Romelu Lukaku. His string of poor performances continue and Chelsea can look to sell him in Serie A again.
