As per reports, Man United are ready to lose Paul Pogba on a free transfer next season. It is believed that the Frenchman will not sign a new contract at the club and will leave Old Trafford.
Pogba’s existing deal with the club will expire in June next year while the club is in talks with the 28-year-old midfielder over an extension. As Utd have been trying to convince him for an extension, Pogba is seemingly adamant on leaving.
Various clubs have made the Frenchman a target namely Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. Knowing the situation well, Man Utd could attempt to sell Pogba in January for a transfer fee.
Pogba is ready for another free transfer away from Man United
The French international is a player whose class is unmatched. His presence on the pitch is unlike any and he also has the ability to change the tide of a game. He has the most assists in the Premier League this season with 7.
However, Pogba’s inconsistencies usually bring in a lot of criticism for him. His overbearing attitude and arrogant demeanour on the pitch shadow his hard work and talent.
The red card as a result of a horrendous challenge on Naby Keita against Liverpool was a display of his lack of composure and poor attitude. He now faces a 3-match ban and will miss out on important games against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
However, as per ESPN, the board are relaxed about the possibility of missing out on a transfer fee for Pogba. They believe that the benefits of having his abilities and presence available for the final six months outweigh the potential financial boost of moving him in January.
Pogba previously left Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2012 to join Juventus. After four successful years with the Italian giants, he returned to the Red Devils in a £90m deal.
