Despite a stuttering start to the season from the Portuguese who has scored three goals in 16 appearances, Santos believes that the superstar will be back to scoring goals.

Santos thinks his team has everything it needs to win the World Cup. He said (via The Mirror) :

“Cristiano, like all of the players I have called up, comes with a huge hunger to show his ability and to make Portugal the world champion. Is Ronaldo hungrier? Let’s wait and see.”

“He has always been hungry – that’s why he has stayed at the top of the game for so long. I am not interested in what he was like a month ago. He has played four games for Manchester United since then.”

The 37-years old will be playing his fifth World Cup in hopes of leading his team to triumph. The Portuguese international will also be looking to break Eusebio’s record to become the country’s highest goalscorer in World Cups.
