England managed to salvage a win after facing 2 back-to-back losses.
Starting with the toss, Jos Buttler won it and decided to bat first.
England started off things well with Buttler and Jason Roy making full use of the Powerplay.
Dawid Malan paved the way for England’s win as he smashed 77 from just 39 balls.
Additionally, Liam Livingstone too joined the party as he smashed 42 from 29 balls.
England set up a massive score of 215/7 in their 20 overs.
India needed 216 so as to clean sweep the series.
However, India’s top three, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli could not inflict much damage on the English bowlers.
But Suryakumar Yadav fought back brilliantly to script a hundred from 55 balls.
However, after SKY’s departure, everything went out of place for India as they lost the match by a very close margin.

Jos Buttler, England captain, said that it was a fantastic game of cricket and he is pleased to win it. Praised the performances of Topley, Jordan and Gleeson. Added that Moeen Ali showed great credit in bowling the second last over. Was impressed with Suryakumar Yadav’s innings. Concluded by saying that they are blessed to have a team of all-rounders.
Rohit Sharma, India skipper was happy with the team’s performance. Praised Suryakumar Yadav’s performance. Said that SKY loves the T20 format as he is very unorthodox with his shots and keeps the pace of the innings fast. Mentioned that he has been watching SKY for some time now. Added that they could have done well as regards fielding. Praised the English team for batting well. Concluded by saying that they just want to continue playing good cricket and get better with every game that comes their way. Added that this series was a great learning curve for them. Further said that India needed to know how to bat in different circumstances.
