India have finally found their mojo in today’s game as they beat South Africa by 48 runs.

Temba Bavuma won the toss yet again and decided to bowl first.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan played well and made half-centuries for themselves.

After they got out, India were in a rocky position as South Africa looked to dominate once again.

Hardik Pandya added impetus to the scoreboard as he smashed 31 off just 21 balls.

India finished off at 179/5 in their 20 overs.

South Africa needed 180 to seal the series.

But, they were completely routed by India as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal were the star performers as both shared 7 wickets between them.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Axar Patel got one wicket apiece.

South Africa were skittled out for just a 131.

Temba Bavuma, South Africa skipper said that they didn’t play well in this match as India was the better team in the match. Mentioned that they gave away too many runs at the beginning but did well to stop India at 180. Further said that they tried to assess the conditions but failed to do so as they lost three wickets in succession after which it was always going to be a tough chase for them. Said that they miss the services of Quinton de Kock. Concluded by saying that they will continue to back Reeza Hendricks as he is a dangerous player in the domestic circuit.

Rishabh Pant, India captain said that they got their executions a bit wrong in the last two games but they eventually did well in today’s game. Added that the spinners play a big role in India and thus have a lot of pressure on them but they are ultimately the match-winners for India. Concluded by saying that they hope to finish games on a bigger margin.

India and South Africa now move on to Rajkot to play the 4th T20I on the 17th of June.
