The recent match between Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) and Punjab Kings(PBKS) brought smiles on Delhi capitals(DC) fans. Why? Punjab Kings(PBKS) beaten KKR and also secured 10 points in the points table. Yesterday’s match impacted the points table when KKR lost the match against PBKS. Hence, Delhi Capitals(DC) got Qualified for the playoffs.
Punjab Kings have had multiple shocking years filled with exciting moments and failures. Kl Rahul expressed his thoughts after the match. And said that he’s used to the ups and downs in matches and always look forward to betterment. But this time they played smartly and effectively and won the match proudly against KKR.
Kolkata had put a good target for Punjab on the board. But due to carelessness by the fielders cost them the match. Kolkata lost the grip of the game and Kings won the game by 3 balls left when they chased down 165.
Morgan led KKR will be disappointed after the match but they are still in the fifth position of the points table. Since there is hope for Punjab, KKR has an even better chance if they play wisely from now on. Both the teams have somewhat equal chances to get into the playoffs but it’s all about passion and hard work. And soon the results would come.
KKR Captain Admits his mistake
In the post-match interview, Morgan said, “Initially we didn’t field as well, put catches down. Myself early too. W probably had a par score on the wicket, Kings played well, we fought back, but catches have cost us.”
Although Kings were also losing their wickets, they had enough in their batting lineup that they could chase the target down. Shahrukh Khan finished the game with a six. He could have been out but the catch dropped and splits directly on the rope.
Punjab Kings(PBKS) will have some more confidence acquired after the match and will like to carry the momentum forward.
