Even after every single thing, Arsenal always finds a way to bottle the Premier League. Many things would not make sense if started talking about it in the past. Imagine that City is struggling, Rodri has been injured and even the relegation-fighting teams are defeating them.
Apparently, many would have thought that Arsenal would surely win it this time and have already started celebrating and distributing sweets. Rather, it is not. Let’s hear what actually is wrong with this club.
REASONS FOR ARSENAL’S YET ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE DISASTER
After back-to-back seasons with almost made Pep sweaty, the Gunners entered the competition with the most promising squad. And every average person would accept that they would be the favorites to win the league.
Even after having one of the youngest, one of the most potential squads, they always collapse.
Let’s take this season where Man City is probably at its worst state right now. So, who are supposed to be the title challengers this season? Of course, it is indeed not Arsenal. Rather it is Liverpool, yes again.
After the emotional exit of Klopp, no one expected Liverpool to be in business with Arne Slot. Yet, he brought that team to absolute domination in the Premier League including the Champions League.
Instead of improving themselves, they are still six points behind Liverpool, who on the other hand still have one game in hand.
So, it is looking like Arsenal is closer to being in the ninth position rather than to being in the top.
REASONS FOR THE CONSISTENT BOTTLING
Let’s hear the reasons:
- Indiscipline: Remember the 2020/21 season, where the entire Arteta squad was genuinely regarded as the most unserious team of all time. They were trolled the entire COVID period. Still all of a sudden they thought of removing the players two years later. The numbers keep getting increasing till this season.
- Lack of chemistry: Many people will argue that Saka and Odegaard are dominating the midfield, but for how long? The rest of the players are not concentrating when it is required. With two players hitting over 30, Arteta does not give them enough playtime.
- Concentrated only on set pieces: The team has, till now scored 40 goals, only from set-pieces. Their open play and playing accordingly is horrendous. Missing golden chances and only relying on the set-pieces is not going to be a game-changer if Arsenal is serious about winning the Premier League.
So, there are many more minor details regarding this team. Even Chelsea have recovered from their past banter and are still undefeated since mid-October. We know they have too many players, but at least they are utilizing it.
Arsenal, on the other hand, is only bragging about their talent and potential, then proceeds to draw in two consecutive matches against Fulham and Everton.
They had the chance of getting even with Chelsea, and perhaps they could have been closer to Liverpool than ever.
But, even if we look at it, Liverpool is a way better-organized team than Arsenal. So, even if one of their men is down, their average gameplay remains intact.
Meanwhile, Arsenal not only gets problems with injury but also loses composure easily.
AUTHOR’S OPINION
Arsenal is not a good club. They can be a great club if they actually listen to themselves. Arteta needs to be sacked according to me.
The more he remains in this club, the more problems he will face along with the fans watching. So, probably just like that they should just forget about this season too.
It is too late now for Arsenal that Liverpool already have a game in hand. Chelsea is a more competent contender than Arsenal ever will be.
