Problems in transfer business for Chelsea due to high demands: Other PL clubs busy bagging talents

According to reports there are Problems in transfer business for Chelsea for their transfer target Victor Osimhen. Since Todd Boehly took over the London club we can say Chelsea have been ruthless in their transfer business. Last season itself Chelsea signed many players including many youngsters. Chelsea are now reportedly facing financial problems to sign Osimhen. The London club unwilling to meet Napoli’s asking price for striker Victor Osimhen despite the Italian club lowering their demands below his £110m release clause. Chelsea will also have to be careful about the Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR) of the Premier league. These rules states that the revenue generated from television rights and sponsors cannot be used for the transfer business. It also states that a club can only use the revenue generated from the players sales in the transfer market. Now we will see how this situation goes for club.

Now as we go to the other side of English football it looks like Liverpool will sign Nico Williams by triggering  his release clause of just under £50m. Williams potential can be seen when the Spanish winger is on the ball. He is known for beating the man on his flank with his pace and dribbling skills. He also provides with the output after taking the ball in the final third. His partnership with Cucurella is already amazing in the way they connect on the flank and make overlapping runs. Liverpool are also in best position to sign Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners. He is said to be a player who fascinated Jurgen Klopp. He can be an important piece in the midfield alongside Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. It is also reported that Liverpool are not open to selling their star winger Mohammed Salah. New contract is still not confirmed.

English Football buzzing with Problems in transfer business

Manchester City may find it difficult to keep hold of their star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. The player is currently on international duty with Belgium. It is an unlucky Euro campaign for Kevin De Bruyne after Belgium is eliminated by France due to an own goal. De Bruyne also had a poor run of games in the last match week for Manchester City. This could be the end of his time in Premier league. However its still not decided what his next destination will be. Reports in Italy claim the Saudi PIF has met with representatives of Kevin De Bruyne. Manchester City midfielder has “verbally agreed” to a move to Al Ittihad as he aims for a move to Saudi. We can also see the departure of Bruno Fernandes to Saudi as he can join his Portuguese teammate Ronaldo in Al-Nassr.

England team are also having a poor campaign in Euro 2024. Although the team is in quater-finals they are often criticized for their lack of passion for the country. Gareth Southgate’s tactics are also criticized for being boring. Southgate has a big luxury to choose from some of the world class players available to him. However this is also proving to be a big problem as it is causing position issues for the players. England captain Harry Kane has told the players to “repay” Gareth Southgate in their match against Switzerland in quater-finals. Gary Lineker is also criticized by football fans due to his podcast creating negative publicity towards the English squad. Newcastle player Fabian Schar who is currently on international duty with Switzerland wants his manager Eddie Howe to stay at the club. Howe is currently the favourite to replace Gareth Southgate as the next manager of England.
