PSG eye move for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick

PSG have started scouting Palmeiras starlet Endrick. He is only 16 years old, but is considered one of the most exciting prospects in Brazil. He currently plays for the Palmeiras youth teams.

PSG have recently taken a different approach to their recruitment. Earlier, they used to sign the big names of world football. This strategy has surely put them on the map and improved their brand image but has not given them sporting success. Their squads often end up being top-heavy.

The appointment of Luis Campos and Christopher Galtier seems to be a step in a different direction. He wants to sign younger players and build a more balanced team. This has probably led to the rumours of Neymar exiting. On the other hand, youth prodigies like Endrick continue to be linked to Paris.

The Current Status Of Endrick

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed PSG’s concrete interest in Endrick. He claims that they have a strong scouting network in Brazil, who are impressed by the teenager. However, they will face stiff competition from a number of clubs.

All the top European clubs are monitoring Endrick. Really everyone, from the top English clubs to PSG but also Real Madrid and Barcelona, who have very strong scouting in South America

If you think about the top ten clubs in Europe, everyone has explored Endrick’s situation because he is considered a top player of the future.

The price is €60m – the new release clause in his contract. But to decide the next club it will take many months. It is a long process and the player’s agents as well as his father Douglas want to choose the right project.

The thought of losing Kylian Mbappé in three years and possibly having Endrick step up as the 23-year-successor old’s would allow PSG to go into a new era. But needless to say, it will be difficult to secure his signature.

If they sign Endrick, the current Ligue 1 winners would have their job cut out for them.
