PSG reject offer from Sunderland for young talent

Sunderland have expressed their interest in signing young PSG player Edouard Michut on a permanent deal. Currently, Michut is the dream signing for Sunderland in the midfield. Sunderland have wanted to sign MIchut since the beginning of the window. Now, negotiations are truly underway between PSG and Sunderland for the player

MIchut joined PSG academy on July 2016 and immediately attracted attention from the coaches because of his technique. He possesses good technical ability and tactical versatility for a youth player. Consequently, Michut was dubbed the “new Verratti” in France. Michut signed his first professional deal with the Parisians in 2020. Michut signed a new deal in 2021 which extended his contract till 2025. His first team debut with PSG was in a 3-0 victory over Aulnoye. His league debut was in a match against Lyon in which he recorded his first professional assist.

Due to his talent, several clubs such as Juventus and Barcelona had expressed their interest in signing the player. However, the Parisians were unwilling to let him go in the past. Now, PSG are allowing the player to leave . Scottish club Celtics were the most interested in signing the player. However, now Sunderland have joined the race for the signature of Michu.

PSG reject Sunderland bid for Michu

Now, according to the latest Tweet by Fabrizio Romano, PSG have rejected a bid worth €3m from Sunderland. As such, there is no agreement in place for the transfer of the player. The tweet reads as

“Paris Saint-Germain have rejected new proposal from Sunderland for Édouard Michut, still no agreement in place. Been told English club were offering €3m fixed fee plus add-ons and 30% sell-on clause also included.”
