When it comes to signing new players, Chelsea have no intention of stopping in the transfer market. Since the club came under Todd Boehly or more accurately Blue, the Blues have spent more than 1B in the last three transfer windows. In this summer transfer window, the Blues have already spent more around 250M and signed ten new players. This raises the question of the future of some existing players of the current Chelsea squad.

Chelsea are selling home-grown talents

All the Premier League clubs have to maintain the Profit and Sustainability Rules( PSR) of the Premier League, which includes the transfer market. As Chelsea are spending so much money in the transfer market, they must sell some of the home-grown players to maintain the PSR and also to generate some money. Chelsea already sold two of the home-grown talents this summer. Firstly, Lewis Hall, who joined Newcastle, and then, Ian Maatsen, who joined Aston Villa. But this is not it, as the Blues are still trying to sell more home-grown players in the upcoming weeks.

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is next on the list, as he is on his way to leave the Stamford Bridge to join Spanish side Atletico Madrid. Conor Gallagher is the one who is going to leave Stamford Bridge in the upcoming weeks. The English international made 50 appearances for the Blues last season, bagged 7 goals, and registered 9 assists, produced arguably his best season in his career so far. But under new manager Enzo Maresca, the future of Conor Gallagher is very uncertain. And Chelsea are very interested in selling him as he is a home-grown player.

The deal between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid was almost done over the move of Conor Gallagher. But right now it is in a hold-on phase after Atletico Madrid striker Samuel Omorodion refused to join Chelsea.

Will Trevoh Chalobah leave the Blues?

Apart from that another Chelsea home-grown player, who could end up leaving the club this summer is Trevoh Chalobah. Though the 25-year-old only made 13 appearances in the last Premier League campaign, the end of the season was very good for the English defender. It gave Trevoh the hope to become the first-choice defender in the next season’s Premier League. But still, no luck for Trevoh Chalobah, as he is out from the Chelsea pre-season. Chelsea put him on the transfer list and are willing to sell him. Some Premier League clubs are interested in signing him including Crystal Palace. Palace are looking for a replacement for Marc Guehi, and Trevoh will be a great fit. However, no official offer has been made for Trevoh Chalobah till now.

According to the news published by TalkSPORT, football pundit, Tony Cascarino claimed that Chelsea are not treating their homegrown players well. He believed that it would be a heartbreaking moment for Trevoh Chalobah if he ended up leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.

More Chelsea news

Chelsea are still keeping their door open for more new players. The Blues are linked with more players and could sign more players before the closure of the transfer window. Chelsea ended their pre-season campaign on a positive note after drawing with Italian giant Inter Milan. However, it’s not a good start for Enzo Maresca. He lost three games in his first six games in charge with Chelsea. The Blues conceded 13 goals in the pre-season while scoring only 10 goals. Enzo Maresca will meet last season’s premier league champion and current community holder Manchester City in their opening match in the Premier League on 18th August. Chelsea fans are hoping for a fresh start under their new manager.
