South Africa toured India for 3 matches t20 as well as the ODI series. Unfortunately, South Africa was handed over a series of defeats in both formats. The visitors were keen to have some winning momentum ahead of the t20 world cup but it was not possible. There were many positives in this series. Quinton de Kock back in form was one of them. South Africa will also play against India in group matches. South African cricketer told that qualifying for the 2023 world cup is going to be hard but the team will give its best.

Henrich Statement:

“To qualify for next year’s World Cup is going to be really hard but we are definitely going to try. Our goal at this moment is the T20 World Cup coming up in a couple of days time. We are not too worried about other things we can’t control at this moment. Every time we get on to the field wearing the South African jersey we want to win the game. We are just taking step by step, game by game at this moment.”

South Africa recently lost the ODI series to India by 2-1. For the next year’s World Cup, Super League is conducted. Every ODI match are being counted. According to that South Africa is really in a devasted state. If they manage to win the rest the ODI, still it seems difficult. They need to give away 30 ODI Super League points as they will be unable to play due to the inaugural season of their new t20 franchise.

Henrich Klaasen, at last, added that he is preparing well for any circumstances. 74 runs which he scored recently, he considered his one of the best innings under the provided circumstances.
