Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer pairing up for the Laver Cup: Casper Ruud’s thoughts

The final match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal was described as “incredible” by Casper Ruud.

Federer revealed he wanted to play doubles with Nadal in his farewell encounter early last week.

Federer requested to share the same side of the court on Friday night, and Nadal approved.

Ruud, a member of Team Europe, cheered on Nadal and Federer from the sidelines.

 ”Having those two together in Roger’s final match was incredible to witness,” As per Tennishead, Ruud remarked.

”I was lucky that I was able to be a part of the team. I learned a lot from the experience,” Rudd stated.

 ”It’s inspiring to see that they have the motivation to keep going and they are eager to play and enjoy each the Ruud, who is coming off a runner-up finish at the US Open and is currently the second-ranked player in the world, feels he can further improve his game. ”

There’s always room for improvement but I feel I have done very well this year. If it doesn’t go extremely well, it’s not going to matter too much,” Rudd added.

One of Ruud’s future objectives is to introduce an ATP event to Norway.

Ruud has advanced to two Grand Slam finals this year and has undoubtedly increased their interest in tennis in Norway.

”With the player in the good ranking, it can maybe be easier to make happen,” Ruud said.

Ruud visited Korea for the Seoul Open following the Laver Cup.

If first-seeded Ruud can take home the first-ever Seoul Open trophy, that remains to be seen.
