The Englishman had become their main man and looked destined to cement his name as a legend in Old Trafford. However, life works in mysterious ways and has different plans for all of us. Bombarded with injuries and inconsistency he never really proved himself as a starter.
Following a brilliant 2022/23 season when he netted 30 goals and provided 9 assists in just 56 games, it looked as if he has finally got his rhythm back. However, last season he managed to score only 8 goals in 43 appearances. Rashford’s levels of inconsistency must be studied upon! Having netted 7 goals in 24 appearances this season, will we finally witness the rise of “Rashford 2.O”?
Huge opportunity for Rashford to prove himself under Amorim
Ruben Amorim loves to work with hardworking and dedicated professionals. The Portuguese has strict rules regarding discipline and professionalism. He has put a check on Rashford’s diet in order to get him back on his feet. This is a great opportunity for the 27-year old to show the manager his mettle.
The manager dropped him and Garnacho out of the squad due to issues regarding professionalism. This has sent him a clear message, that no more nonsense! In order to play for the club, one must be disciplined and professional to the core. We’ve seen the glimpses of what Rashford is capable of when he scored against Ipswich Town.
Ruben Amorim could really get help if Marcus gets back to his original best this season. He’s got all the support he needs from the manager and the support staff. A manager’s trust has a huge impact on a struggling player and can work wonders. Manchester United faithful will just hope for that to happen with the 27-year old.
Make it or Break it Situation
Having made 426 appearances for the Red Devils, he is 12th on the all time top scoring players for Man United. He had become a fan favourite after netting goals against their arch rivals like Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. However, at the moment grey clouds are looking over his Man United career.
The situation is simple – Make it or break it. Under the management of Ruben Amorim, he must prove himself otherwise he will be replaced with new signings soon. The board has promised the new coach with new signings. Rashford could be very well moving out of the Old Trafford if he fails to cement his spot soon. However, which clubs will be able to match his huge wages? Only clubs like Manchester City or PSG could afford it.
PSG has always been linked with Marcus Rashford as they admire the player. However, a move has never materialized till date. With the player slowly going out of favour at Manchester, it could be the time we see him don new colours next season. Things are set to become incredibly difficult for the Englishman in the coming months.

I feel that Marcus Rashford should move out of Manchester United at this point. We’ve seen how Scott McTominay started balling out at Napoli following his departure from the club. There’s always more pressure when you play for a massive club of such weight like Man United. If he’s able to make himself strong and prove himself under Amorim that’s great!
If not, he should move next season elsewhere. Even if it’s a loan deal. Getting playing minutes and confidence can give him a massive boost and even help him make a comeback to the England national team. We haven’t seen him feature for the Three Lions for quite some time now.
