Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on the contract situation of Manchester United prodigy Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine will be out of contract with the Premier League club in 2023.

According to reports, Real Madrid are closely monitoring United’s whizkid Alejandro Garnacho. Born in Madrid, Garnacho spent the early part of his youth career at Athletico Madrid. The youngster was poached by Manchester United in 2020. Since then, he has made rapid strides through the ranks at the English club. Garnacho has made 31 appearances for Manchester United’s U-18 side.

He has scored 16 goals and provided 8 assists. The 17-year-old winger also played an integral role in their FA Youth Cup success in the 2021/22 campaign. He even scored a brace in the final. The winger also broke into the U-23 set up for the Red Devils. He has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 12 matches. Garnacho made his senior debut under interim manager Ralf Ragnick.

REAL MADRID INTERESTED IN SIGNING GARNACHO ON A FREE TRANSFER

Garnacho is regarded as the brightest young prospect to have come through United in recent years. Manchester United have big plans for him and are planning to hand him a bigger role in the first team under new manager Erik Ten Hag. But, before that Manchester United need to resolve Garnacho’s contract situation.

The 17-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with the Red Devils. His contract situation has piqued the interest of several clubs across Europe. Juventus are already planning a Bosman move for the winger in 2023. Real Madrid are also now joining the race for the youngster. Since the youngster was born in Spain, it would be easier for Real to thrust him into the senior team right away.

Manchester United are planning to offer Garnacho a new contract. But with the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid interested in him, he will have his options to choose from if the teenager decides not to sign an extension.
