Chelsea’s right-back Reece James is expected to miss one game after suffering an injury at San Siro in a Champions League fixture on Tuesday.

22 years old was pretty solid against AC Milan in their 2-0 win at San Siro. He kept Rafael Leo pretty much quiet during the match.

He was forced off the field after yet again a fabulous display. Rafael Leao admitted that Reece James was the toughest opponent he ever played against.

October has been a busy month for the Blues with important fixtures. The next one comes with a trip to Aston Villa this weekend.

James to miss just one game

Reece James is expected to miss one week and could make a return against Brentford. There had been a fear that he might miss the upcoming world cup but that’s not the case right now.

Reports suggest that he will miss just one game against Aston Villa.

James is the number one option for the right-back position in Gareth Southgate’s team for the World Cup. He could not affect to miss the world cup.

Cesar Azpilicueta is someone who could replace Reece James in defence, he had a brilliant display against Wolves. Otherwise, Ruben Loftus Cheek is another option.
