Chelsea were making a lot of mistakes all over the pitch and especially in defence. A late Renato Veiga header would have been crucial for Chelsea to grab a point. A lot of fans are outraged after the defeat. Chelsea’s poor decision making across the field made the fans angry. Chelsea were defeated because of their own self, they have nothing to defend themselves about. Patience is needed for the growth of experience of the Chelsea players. The fans expected a better performance but got a bad result in return. The errors which Chelsea made has to be accepted because they are literally just mistakes made by the player. Chelsea players have to improve to win against the Big 6 in the Premier League. A 2-1 defeat at Anfield was not a bad result for a Chelsea team which is going through a transition phase.
Reece James:
The fans were shocked to see Reece James starting after the injury. Fofana and Cucurella were on the bench. After five months, this was James’s first match. He did not really perform well in this match. The errors at the back for Chelsea was too much. They have not played well against Liverpool. However, the fans and the manager is happy to see Reece James back in action after an injury of 5 months.
With time, we are hoping to see that Reece James is going to be dangerous in the right back. Hoping he will return to his form before when he used to give long balls in the midfield from the back and performing very well in the flank.
