Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has encountered yet another hamstring injury. His return is still at a huge halt.
FUTURE OF REISS NELSON
Initially sidelined in early December due to a hamstring issue, Nelson was on the verge of returning to action. However, Fulham’s manager, Marco Silva, disclosed that the 25-year-old has suffered a new hamstring injury in the opposite leg.
He had accumulated 12 appearances, contributing two goals and one assist. Thus, he had secured a spot in the starting lineup for five consecutive Premier League matches. His performance was gaining momentum when the first hamstring injury occurred in December.
This return of the hamstring injuries has troubled Nelson’s career. During the 2022/23 season with Arsenal, he missed 108 days due to thigh issues. His loan spell at Feyenoord was also marred by similar setbacks.
So, the latest injury seems to keep Nelson out of action for an extended period. Early estimates suggest a potential return in April at the earliest. This injury is hampering the Fulham’s squad’s resilience.
As Nelson embarks on another rehabilitation journey. Both Fulham and Arsenal keeping their eyes on him. Too many injuries are becoming a problem for these clubs.
