Renuka Singh is in the race for the ICC Player of the Month Award

ICC Player of the Month Award, Six Sports

A 26-year-old Pace sensation Renuka Singh successfully made a place in the nominees for the ICC Player of the Month Award for the July Edition.

In the Women’s Category, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced her name along with England’s star allrounder Nat Sciver and England’s top order batsman Emma Lamb.

The International Cricket Council also announced the nominees for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award and Once again Jonny Bairstow who is in red hot form secured a place in the nominees along with Sri Lanka’s spin wizard Prabath Jayasuriya and France’s young sensation Gustav McKeon.

1st-time Nomination for the ICC Player of the Month Award

Renuka Singh is performing exceptionally well in the Commonwealth Games and got a reward for that. After the retirement of Jhulan Goswami, she filled the void that was created.

She also had an incredible outing against Sri Lanka in the ODI Series where she clinched 7 wickets with an average of 12.85 that’s too good for a One-day International.

After Australia, Renuka dismantled Barbados with 4 wickets in 4 overs with an economy of 2.50 and helped India to reach the Semifinal of the Commonwealth Games 2022 which is being played at Birmingham.

Winner of the ICC Player of the Month Award

The winners will be selected next week by an independent ICC Voting Academy and fans from across the globe.
