Manchester City might have beaten Chelsea to sign this teenager

Reports suggest that Chelsea might have lost to Manchester City for the signing of Sheffield United’s Kylan Midwood. According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have won the race to sign the teenager from their Premier League rivals. Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds United, and Newcastle United wanted to sign Kylan Midwood. These clubs threw their names in the race to sign the player. Furthermore the player is currently playing U-15 football for Sheffield United. However not much is known about the teenager’s talent. But news suggests that many top-tier clubs are interested to sign the player. Therefore there must be something in the player that has all these clubs fighting for him.

Manchester City and Chelsea are also going to compete for other players

It is not the first time that Manchester City and Chelsea have locked horns for signing the potential players available in the market. Manchester City wanted to sign Palmeiras gem Endrick as per reports. However no further steps were taken by Manchester City. Chelsea on the other hand have made a few attempts to woe the teenager. They had even invited the teenager to London and had Thiago Silva meet with him and his family. Both City and Chelsea are making conversations with Josko Gvardiol, who is having one of his best campaigns at the World Cup which is definitely helping with his reputation. It is always interesting when both clubs lock horns. Both City and Chelsea are elite clubs in the Premier League. Therefore the more players they add to their squad, it is more exciting for the neutral fans.

Both City and Chelsea had to battle it out for the signing of Erling Haaland. Furthermore they both tried their best to sign the Borussia Dortmund player. In the end, Pep Guardiola’s team managed to sign the Norway international. The Norway international is the most important signing for City this season.
