According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have won the race to sign the teenager from their Premier League rivals. Clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds United, and Newcastle United were all in the race to sign Kylan Midwood. The player is currently playing U-15 football for Sheffield United. Not much is known about the teenager’s talent, but news has been going around that many top-tier clubs are interested to sign the player.

Manchester City and Chelsea are also going to compete for other players

It is not the first time that Manchester City and Chelsea have locked horns for signing the potential players available in the market. They were reportedly interested in signing Palmeiras gem Endrick, though no further steps have been taken by Manchester City. Chelsea on the other hand have made a few attempts to woe the teenager. They had even invited the teenager to London and had Thiago Silva meet with him and his family. Both City and Chelsea are making conversations with Josko Gvardiol, who is having one of his best campaigns at the World Cup which is definitely helping with his reputation.

Both City and Chelsea had to battle it out for the signing of Erling Haaland, they both had tried their best to sign the Borussia Dortmund player. In the end, it was Pep Guardiola’s team who managed to sign the Norway international.
