Barca have already struggled to register Dani Olmo and his teammate Pau Victor earlier this January due to their financial curbs. The La Liga board also cancelled these players registration.

After continuous efforts, the club appealed to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), then they were given a temporary relief.

The CSD after their one of a decision, defended by stating that the preventing of registrations of both Olmo and Victor can cause significant harm to the players, the club and even the interests of the Spanish national team.

This case has had other Spanish teams and fans criticizing the CSD’s decision.
