Richarlison Approached By Another PL Club

According to rumours, Chelsea has entered the competition to sign Everton forward Richarlison ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham. Spurs were reportedly closing in on a £51 million deal for the Everton man last week, per the reports.

Richarlison has also been included to Arsenal’s shortlist. Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City, however, is the Gunners’ prime focus. Now, another London club has entered the mix for his signature. Chelsea will be looking to add him to his ranks amidst a possible departure of a number of attackers.

It is easy to see why Richarlison has garnered so much attention. He has consistently scored goals in an otherwise underwhelming Everton team. He is a regular in the Brazilian national team, a testament to his talent. His numbers can only go up in a better team and system.

Everton want more than £50 million for the forward according to the report. But they are willing to trade the 25-year-old this summer. They seem to be in a bit of a financial rut right now after years of heavy spending. FFP regulations have forced their hand in making a few big sales, and Richarlison may be sacrificed.

Richarlison And His Future

Richarlison too has contemplated the possibility of leaving Goodinson this summer.

I have already made it clear to the board. I’ve already talked to Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June. Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me. When we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.

It is true that Richarlison is a fan favourite at Goodinson. His antics have made him popular with the supporter, and his frequent digs at rivals have given him a cult-hero-like status. But he may also feel that his level is above Everton now, and may look to leave.
