Former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino starts a new journey away from football after becoming the pastor of an evangelical church. Firmino and his wife, Larissa Pereira, founded this church in Maceio, Brazil, and Firmino became a pastor of that evangelical church.
Brazilian Roberto Firmino had an outstanding football career. He started his professional football career with Figueirense in Brazil. Firmino started his career as a defensive midfielder for Figueirense. The Brazilian spent two seasons with the club, making 38 appearances and scoring 8 goals.
In 2010, Firmino joined German side TSG Hoffenheim. The Brazilian made 153 appearances for Hoffenheim and scored 49 goals. His performance catches Liverpool’s eye. So, after spending five seasons with TSG Hoffenheim, the Brazilian forward moved to Anfield in 2015. And at Anfield, the player has become a fan favorite because of his contribution to Liverpool.
Roberto Firmino had the best time in his career with Liverpool, under the guidance of the then-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The Brazilian spent eight years with Liverpool, made 362 appearances for the Reds, scored 111 goals, and registered 71 assists. During his time at Anfield, the Brazilian was one of the key players in Liverpool’s squad and also part of the trio, partnered by Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
During his time at Liverpool, the Brazilian helped the club to win a Premier League title, one FA Cup, one league cup, and the 2018/19 Champions League. Last year, Firmino left Anfield and said Liverpool fans a final goodbye. But there is no doubt that all the Liverpool fans will never forget his contribution to the club’s success. Liverpool fans still love him and have missed him a lot since his departure in 2023.
So, after spending eight seasons with the Reds, Roberto Firmino moved to Saudi Arabia. However, in Saudi Arabia, the Brazilian never returned to his prime form. Last season, the 32-year-old made 34 appearances for Saudi Arabian side AL Ahli, scored nine goals, and registered seven assists. Many speculations recently came out about his move back to the Premier League, but there is no official news on his future. Firmino has now started his new journey with his wife, Larissa Pereira.

“Since our first encounter with Christ, a desire burned in our hearts. We want people to feel this love that reached us. Now we have another desire and responsibility: to become pastors on behalf of God.”
