Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma said it will be really hard for him to not have the same squad from next year onwards.

The results for Mumbai Indians in the year of 2021 was disappointing. The whole team didn’t show any consistency throughout the tournament. And the four times title winner couldn’t even qualify for the Playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings had the worst year in the last season of IPL. Then they bounced back stronger this year with the same set of players with just a couple of changes that the venues demanded. And they even won the tournament again for the fourth time.

Can Mumbai Indians bounce back next year with Rohit?

After CSK shown the power of their experience with the faith in their skills. MI would also want to do the same next year. But according to the sources, Mumbai Indians will not go with the similar squad next year.

Thus we can expect some major changes to be made for the betterment of the team. Though, it can’t be said so confidently if they would bounce back stronger or not. But with the legacy that this team possess, they must be aware of their decisions certainly.

Will Mumbai Indians be able to retain their core players?

Rohit Sharma has led MI to their five times title winner tag. Mumbai Indians is the most successful team in the history of the IPL. But since IPL 2021 was a bad year with a lot of challenges, Rohit Sharma says-

“We won’t have the same squad, unless some miracle happens. It will be hard not have all of them as part of the same group next year. But, hopefully we can get the same core group of players and create a magical couple of years,”

We hope what he believes come true. And they perform to their potential next year. Wins and losses are a part of the game. We can only control what’s in our side. Thus they can play cricket to the best of their potential and make fewer mistakes. And if they still can’t win matches then probably their opponent were more qualified for the win.

Players like Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar, Hardik Pandya and Pollard have gained a lot of recognition via Mumbai Indians. And Rohit Sharma would want to keep them in the team next year too. have made gained enough confidence from their IPL stint with MI.

MI will need a couple of raw Indian pacers with the required skills. And strong all-rounders because Pollard and Krunal Pandya might not be a part of the team next year.
