Roma set to place 100m price tag on their star striker

Roma are considering setting a price tag of 100m on striker Tammy Abraham amidst Premier League interests. Abraham arrived from Chelsea for a fee of 34m.

Tammy has been in impeccable form since arriving from Chelsea. Under Jose Mourinho’s guidance, Abraham has scored 23 in 37 matches. Abraham’s form has peeked interests of Premier League clubs but Roma are keen to keep him.

According to sources, Chelsea are considering bringing back Abraham to Stamford bridge. Earlier, Chelsea had inserted a buyback clause priced at 67m. Chelsea are willing to bring back Abraham due to the poor relationship with Striker Lukaku and the rumors surrounding him.

Manchester United are in the market for a centre forward and are eyeing a move for him. Manchester City too are considering making the move for him but are more interested in Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.

Roma are keen to keep Abraham at Stadio Olimpico. Roma had encountered massive losses close to 154m and won’t hesitate to sell the striker and make up for their losses.

Currently, Abraham’s contract runs till the summer of 2026.

Roma’s season so far…

Placed at 6th, Roma have accumulated 51 points in 30 matches. Roma are steadily improving under the guidance of Portuguese Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho often known as “The Special One” was appointed manager last summer. Mourinho has steadily instilled his philosophy into the club. Roma are playing good not necessarily attractive football. He brought in his extreme defending tactics which are yet to be fully embedded into the players. Roma have scored 50 goals in Serie A this season but they have conceded 35 goals. This has caused the team to drop points several times over the course of the season.

Under Jose Mourinho, There is no doubt that Roma is improving but it will at least take 2-3 years to get to the top.
