Fabrizio Romano amazed with the fact that Liverpool signed Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo from VrB Stuttgart this summer.
Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Romano discussed how get to know about the transfer before everyone else. He also claims that it was a complete suprise as Reds signed a “under-rated” player this summer.
Endo is not famous name in footballing world until he joined the Mersyside club this summer. However many fans didn’t know about the Japanese International as the Italian suggests that he will be perfect for Liverpool in this campaign as he terms him “special”.
Romano shared information about Endo and said :-
“I want to mention Endo to Liverpool, it was really funny because after the Caicedo story I wanted to bring news on the Liverpool midfield.
“I got the story about Endo and I was really surprised.
They told me about Endo and they all told me it was a surprising move, but Liverpool will be signing a special player.
“He is a fighter, a super professional player, amazing in the dressing room in terms of relationship with the teammates.
“Endo to Liverpool was really funny because I was not expecting that move.”
The Japanese might not have a huge profile, but he has been a consistent performer for his former club. Endo showed his real calibre as Japan triumphed 4:1 against Germany on Sunday.
