Bukayo Saka

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka looked completely exhausted against Newcastle United on Sunday and desperately needs a rest.

Gunners have faced long and tough campaign, in which they led the Premier League but stumbled at the end. Manchester City took advantage of the slip to take the top spot with just four games seperating them.

On Sunday, Mikel Arteta’s men produced a fine performance against Newcastle United to keep the pressure on City at the top of the table. But during the match, Bukayo Saka looked completely exhausted.

Journalist Charles Watts pointed out in the first-half and tweeted:-

“Saka just came over and asked Gary O’Driscoll for some painkillers while pointing at his ankle. O’Driscoll said no, will presumably give him some at half-time.”

Due to fatigue, Saka has failed to record a goal contribution in their last three games. The English forward has scored 13 goals and 11 assists in this season.

Both Martinelli and Saka have dropped in last few matches and due to which Arsenal have lost their momentum. Arteta could now seek to manage the youngsters as they enter season’s conclusion.

For next few days, Saka should take complete rest as he doesn’t want to aggravate an injury in final few games. However, he’d play through pain as well we know.

Arteta will like to end the season on a high note and will fight for Premier Title till the end. Saka will important at this end phase but at this moment he needs to be rested.
