The transfer market is about to end within eleven days and Premier League giants Liverpool are still yet to make their first signings in this summer transfer window. Even the Reds are the only team in the Premier League who still yet to sign a new player. However, the scenario is about change as Liverpool are linked with Valencia’s number one Giorgi Mamardashvili. But Manchester United are also interested in signing Giorgi Mamardashvili and the future of Jadon Sancho could affect the move.
What is the future of Jadon Sancho with Manchester United?
Manchester United have already signed four new players, spending more than 150M in the transfer market. So, the Red Devils have to sell players to sign more players to maintain Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). And Manchester United could sell English international Jadon Sancho if required. Sancho is back in the United squad after spending the second half of the last season with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
Despite having a fight with the United boss Erik Ten Hag in the last season, Jadon Sancho is ready to give his hundred percent with the Red Devils. Manchester United’s boss has also said that he is ready to work with Jadon Sancho. Sancho was featured in four pre-season matches for the Red Devils. However, the 24-year-old is on the bench in the community shield final against Manchester City and also was not in the squad for United’s first Premier League game against Fulham. This is raising the question about the future of Sancho at Old Trafford.
Sancho is recently linked with PSG for a swap deal that will send Manuel Ugarte to the United camp. Manchester United are also interested in signing Manuel Ugarte for the defensive midfield zone. Apart from PSG, Premier League side Chelsea are also interested in signing Sancho.
How will Jadon Sancho’s future affect Liverpool’s transfer strategy?
Jadon Sancho’s leave from Manchester United will open the door for the Red Devils to spend money on Giorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamardashvili is on the list of United and Erik Ten Hag’s side could sign him depending on the move of Sancho. Meanwhile, Liverpool will miss the chance to sign what could have been the first signings under their new manager, Arne Slot.
Giorgi Mamardashvili is interested in joining Liverpool, but Valencia will let the Georgian go only if the Reds are willing to 40M. Giorgi Mamardashvili joined the Spanish side in 2021 from Dinamo Tbilisi on loan. Later he completed his permanent move. The Georgian was the first-choice keeper for the Spanish side for the last two seasons and he continuously performed brilliantly at the club level. So, Valencia believed that 40M is the perfect price tag for Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also in the race to seal the deal of Giorgi Mamardashvili. But a move of Jadon Sancho away from Old Trafford could trigger Giorgi Mamardashvili’s move to Manchester United.
