Former India batsman, Sanjay Manjrekar in a virtual interview said that Ravindra Jadeja has come into a trickier position now.

He feels that the India allrounder may not be able to make the cut in the T20 World Cup squad.

In a virtual interview, Manjrekar said that the return of Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya has certainly made things difficult for Jadeja.

However, there might be a small chance for Jadeja to slip in because of his experience.

If however, the management decides to go on with Karthik and Pandya, then Axar Patel will be the allrounder.

Ravindra Jadeja is currently with the Indian team in England where they are playing a practice match against Leicestershire.

Jadeja did not have a good season in the IPL this year.

He was mired in controversies regarding captaincy as well as had to exit the IPL after sustaining a bruised rib.

Additionally, Manjrekar also commented on Rishabh Pant and said that the Indian team should apply the wait and watch strategy with him.

While Pant has made a mark for himself in Test cricket, it is the white-ball arena that time and again hurts him the most.

In IPL 2022, Pant was not in his usual self either as skipper or batsman.

Against South Africa as well, Pant got out quickly after playing rash shots.

Pant scored only 58 runs with an average of 14.50 at a strike rate of 105.45.
