Scaloni has given a hint
Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has given an update about the future of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria. At first, he spoke about Di Maria.
According to Goal he said, “You know how I think: We wait and see how he plays. We won’t retire him early before the game, then the tears will start and everyone, his family, will get melancholic. We’ll see later if we convince him or not convince him, but for now, we let him play.”
Scaloni commented on Messi’s future, “It’s the same case for Messi. We leave them calm from our part; we won’t be the ones to close the door on them. He can be with us until he wants, and even after he retires, he can join me if I’m still coach. And if not, I’ll take him where I go. He would be a great help.“
Club football for Lionel Messi
In 2022-2023 season, Messi played for Paris Saint Germain. He helped them to win Ligue 1 but the fans turned against him because Argentina won World Cup by defeating France in the final.
So, he was forced to leave the French club. Saudi clubs offered him lucrative contracts which were worth of billions of Euro.
Messi rejected these Saudi offers and joined MLS side Inter Miami which is owned by David Beckham. This incident proves that Lionel Messi love football more than money. That is why the fans love him.
In 2023-2024 season, Lionel Messi had a successful season at Inter Miami. He single handedly won matches for the MLS side.
Later he showed top level performances for Argentina national team. Since he is playing club football outside of Europe, his levels never dropped a bit. We have seen how he performed in all the international friendlies.
