Secrets Revealed: What Mauricio Pochettino Said to Spark Chelsea’s Epic Comeback Against Crystal Palace!

Mauricio Pochettino and his men recently locked horns against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday. The game was a moment for sheer joy for Pochettino as his side emerged 3-1 victorious despite trailing in the first half.

Now, Cole Palmer gives an insight to what the Argentine manager said to his side during the half-time break. He told the Evening Standard that the manager reminded them that they have to be brave in possession after a laboured first half in London. The former Manchester City boy was a decisive figure in the match as he gave two crucial assists for the comeback. However, the Blues fans and players, especially Noni Madueke will be irritated of the first goal Palace scored.

Chelsea changed the gears in the second half with Christopher Nkunku playing a pivotal role on the field. Cole says about the half time talk that,

“The manager helps us all every day. It’s just little conversations telling us what to do. He supports us massively, and credit goes to the manager for keeping us together.

We decided we needed an intensity switch to step it up a gear. It was a bit sluggish. At half-time, we had a chat. The gaffer said it is all good telling us tactics, but it is down to us to show some intensity, and be brave. We are a close bunch of lads; we’ve been there for each other all season, and performances may not reflect that. Thankfully, we got three points.”

The Blues will have to keep their heads held high and take some optimism from the result. It will help them in their next outing against Manchester City and later on in Carabao Cup final with Liverpool. The management will hope their players will deliver more of such performances and finish the season with a respectable spot.
