Teen fast bowling sensation Shaheen Afridi hinted at a return to international cricket. Afridi posted a picture of himself with a caption hinting at making a comeback. The Pakistani speedster posted a cryptic post on Instagram stating:

“Calm before the storm”.

Shaheen was injured earlier this July. He suffered a knee injury before the 2 match test series against Sri Lanka. He missed the Asia Cup and the following 7-match T20 series against England at Home. Pakistan badly missed him in both series.

Afridi went to England for rehab. He did knee surgery in London followed by a rehab program. Dr. Najeebullah Soomro, Chief Medical Officer of Pakistan Cricket Board, stated that Shaheen needed continuous and committed treatment from a knee expert and that London has some of the greatest sports medical and rehabilitation facilities in the world. All efforts were taken to fast-track his recovery and make him match-ready before the world cup.

Shaheen Afridi is the leader of the attack in the Pakistani lineup. He created havoc against the Indian batting lineup. The fast and bouncy Australian pitches will suit his bowling style. He is very crucial for Pakistan to go all the way in the tournament. The news of his return is a very happy sign for Pakistan Cricket Team and all the fans across the world.

Pakistan will face India in an electrifying encounter at the MCG on 23rd October. Fans across the world will be glued to the television sets for this exciting encounter.
