Smriti Mandhana is one of the popular woman cricketers in the world right now. She is the most followed Indian woman cricketer in social media too. Recently Smriti had an interview with the ESPN network. There she revealed some inside story of the Indian Women Team.

She has been one of the most consistent batters, not only in India but the world as well. Her average is 42 in the 56 ODIs she has played. But she has scored only four hundred and 18 fifties.

I’ve got out for 70s and 80s so many times in my career. I wish I could go back and convert those into hundreds,” Smriti said.

Of late, the women’s team has shot into the limelight by playing brilliant cricket. Currently, the team is in England and finished their one-off Test. The Women in Blue gave a tough competition and managed to pull off a draw in the lone Test. The match was viewed by a lot of fans.

What record Smriti wants to have at the end of her career

On being asked what is one cricket record that would want to hold at the end of her career, her reply was rather prompt. She said, “Winning the most number of World Cups, hopefully.” Interestingly, the 24-year-old has already been a part of two finals — 2017 World Cup and 2020 T20 World Cup. But on both occasions, the team lost.

Mandhana is also close with many players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Radha Yadav, and Harmanpreet Kaur. When she quizzed to name the messiest teammate, the 24-year-old named Kaur and herself too.

I’d say me. If I take anyone else’s name, people are going to get back at me. But I think Harman and I have a good competition at this. But both of us have gotten better. We have also spoken about keeping our rooms clean,” Smriti said.
