Former India batting legend Sunil Gavaskar came to Kohli’s defence recently.

After Kohli was dismissed for just 11 off 6 balls, critics started clamouring to replace Kohli with more in-form players.

Many fans and critics want that Deepak Hooda should replace Kohli in T20Is.

But, for Gavaskar, Kohli still has the mindset to play the shortest format of the game.

In a recent interview, Gavaskar said that Kohli is now getting used to the new batting mentality that India has adopted for T20Is.

Rohit Sharma recently stated that India is looking for a high-risk approach when it comes to batting in T20Is.

Gavaskar also went on to say that only Kohli gets singled out when he doesn’t make runs. So, why don’t the other players get the same treatment from the fans?

He further went on to say that the Asia Cup will be a good platform for India to finalise their playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Gavaskar finally said that the ODI series against England is the perfect time for Kohli to regain his form and mojo.

India will be starting the ODI series tomorrow against England.
