Suresh Raina bids Goodbye to IPL and domestic cricket

Suresh Raina was ignored by all the teams at the mega auction this year. He now says Goodbye to all forms of cricket. On Tuesday, Mr. IPL made an announcement of his retirement which left all the fans sad. The latter tweeted

“It has been an absolute honor to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket.”

The cricketer has decided to leave the Indian cricket circuit and play in the t20 leagues around the world. Suresh Raina is expected to play in the upcoming T20 leagues. These T20 leagues include leagues from South Africa, UAE, and Sri Lanka. However, Suresh Raina will not be playing in the upcoming domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. Earlier today Suresh Raina quoted a tweet by Dainik Jagran that said

“I want to continue playing cricket for two or three years. There are some exciting youngsters who are coming through the ranks of Uttar Pradesh cricket. I have already taken my No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). I have informed BCCI secretary Jay Shah and vice-president Rajiv Shukla about my decision.”

However, the batter can be seen in action from the 10th of September in the second edition of the road safety series. While taking out time from the practice Suresh Raina said

“I will play in the Road Safety Series. T20 franchises from South Africa, Sri Lanka, and UAE have contacted me but I am yet to take any decision,”

Although Raina didn’t leave playing cricket. He announced his retirement from international two years back less than one hour when Dhoni retired. He announced his retirement from International cricket in 2020 on 15th August. Suresh Rain was also a member of the Indian cricket team when they won The World cup in 211.
