Young Chelsea player confirms first-team training call-up in Abu Dhabi

Some Chelsea academy players have been called up for first-team training sessions in Abu Dhabi. Mason Burstow is one of those academy players of Chelsea who had been called up. Moreover Burstow had uploaded a photo of him in a plane seemingly en route to Abu Dhabi. Chelsea manager Graham Potter decided to call up the young player. As the manager would hope to monitor his play style and progress. Furthermore he would also be looking forward to showcasing his talents in front of the senior team players. He is yet to make his debut as a first-team player since his move back in January.

Chelsea youngster travels to Abu Dhabi

Mason Burstow came to Chelsea back in January from Charlton Athletic. Charlton Further retained him for the 2021/2022 season where he scored six times in total. He have played Under 21s for Chelsea and have managed to score four times after joining from Charlton. This Abu Dhabi trip could be the setting stone for Burstow to convince the Chelsea coach to give him a position in the first-team squad in the Premier League. His might be his chance to prove himself and persuade Potter into considering him. Several other academic players of Chelsea would be aiming for the same. Of all the 25 players selected, 12 of them are academy players looking forward to impressing the manager.

Youngsters who are called for the first team training

Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson both are included in the squad who traveled to Abu Dhabi. Hall have already impressed while playing under Potter. Whereas Omari Hutchinson was included in the senior team squad on three occasions. Other young players who have been called up are Malik Mothersille, Ben Elliot, Charlie Webster, Josh Brooking, Alfie Gilchrist, Bashir Humphreys, and Eddie Beach. Furthermore these players would be hoping to impress the manager and the senior team players for a chance in the senior team.
