Alfa Romeo took out its 2023 F1 car for a shakedown run before the pre-season test begins.

Alfa Romeo revealed` their 2023 title challenger C43 earlier this week. The Swiss-based team used a show car with a striking black and red livery design.

Now the team deployed their beast on the track giving us a glimpse of the real car for the first time. Although it was a short video, the most noticeable feature was the change in the floor design. The car featured a different floor design contrary to the radical floor design showcased during the official launch.

The car hit the track at the Spanish Grand Prix venue.

Both Alfa Romeo drivers Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas took their turns to hit the track. The duo filmed the videos utilizing their 100km permitted to run.

This was useful for both the team and the drivers. This provided with much important and required information on the working system of the cars. These include the functioning of major sensors and driver inputs on controls. Further, the test gave a feel of the new car to the drivers.

The first pre-season test gets underway next week in Bahrain. The teams are looking forward to getting a grip on the new technical regulations in a better manner this season.

The C43 will again hit the track in Barcelona. This time reserve driver Theo Pourchaire will also get his hand behind the wheel. The run is expected to take place on Saturday.
