A close friend of Daniel Ricciardo has recently posted a short video indicating the rising rumors in the F1 drivers’ market.
Daniel Ricciardo was axed by McLaren after a series of poor performances. The Aussie is yet to announce his future for the next season. With the remaining seats filling fast in the driver market, the future of the 33-year-old is becoming grimmer.
Only two seats are officially vacant for the 2023 season now.
Williams axed Nicholas Latifi leaving one seat empty alongside Alex Albon for 2023. However, currently, it doesn’t seem that Ricciardo will head the Williams way.
The second seat seems with Haas F1 as the team is yet to extend the contract of Mick Schumacher. Reports have already indicated that team principal Guenther Steiner had talks with the 8-time race winner.
Nevertheless, signing Ricciardo might not be that easy for the American outfit. The team might not be able to afford Ricciardo at all. Furthermore, the improved performance by Schumacher might just save the seat for the German driver.
The team will now be looking to extend the contract for Schumacher. The German has shown improvements this season and has somewhat earned a contract redemption.
So, where will Ricciardo end up? The Aussie has already indicated that he might not be driving at all in 2023. Although, he clearly stated that he wants to continue in F1 but also doesn’t want to do it in a less competitive team.

Now, adding fire and more speculations to the burning issue is the latest video posted by Ricciardo’s close friend and acquaintances.
The video was posted by Scotty James – a close friend of Daniel Ricciardo on tik tok. This video gave rise to fresh gossip and speculations within the F1 community.
The video features James and his partner Chloe Stroll – sister of Lance Stroll. Because both have a close tie to Formula 1 and its news, we can consider they might have some insider information on the future of Ricciardo.
Nevertheless, for now, there is no clear statement or indication of the future of the Aussie. Ricciardo scored an impressive P5 in the chaotic race of Singapore.
