The spin twin was on Tuesday drafted to the Sri Lankan squad who’s currently strucked with covid. Before this opportunity call for spinners, Praveen Jayawikrama was the announced spinner of the team. However, on Monday tested positive for covid. Previously, The ex-captain also tested positive for covid.

The visitors currently lead the series 1-0. This comes after they defeated the home side by 10 wickets only on the third day of the test. Spin twin Theekshana and Wellagale played their best cricket to win the ODI series 3-2. Left-arm spinner Wellagale was the leading wicket-taker in the ODI series with nine wickets just one ahead of Aussie fast bowler Pat Cummins. However, it’s said that Lasith Embuldeniya has been released from the squad for being wicketless on the home surface.

Watching how the home team plays after the previous loss will be great. Hopefully, the Sri Lankan team is expected to give a tough fight to the visiting team. It said that the addition of the new players would bring more confidence and bring new energy. In the case of a loss, Sri Lankans would lose more points in the World Test Championship points table. Hence, keeping the Aussies on top of the table.
