Thiago Alcantara could miss playing for Liverpool till March

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has reportedly suffered another injury. And he is expected to miss a month of action for the Reds. Liverpool had an underwhelming season so far on the domestic front. Furthermore, they are currently sitting 10th in the Premier League table. While several players have underperformed this season. The manager was also plagued by selection issues as most of the prominent players were injured. Luiz Diaz and Diogo Jota have barely made an appearance in the second half of the season. Whereas Virgil van Dijk has not played since January due to a hamstring problem. However, a number of players are back in the squad before their match against Everton. But Klopp have now informed that Thiago Alcantara was a doubt for the game. Thiago Alcantara is said to have suffered a hip injury.

Thiago Alcantara is to be out for a month due to a hip injury

The player is said to have suffered a hip injury earlier this week. This has also kept him out of training for the match with Everton. However, according to some reports, Thiago Alcantara is expected to miss out on more than just Monday’s match. The reports suggest that Thiago Alcantara could miss out for a month. The player could miss out on action until the middle of next month. Up to March 15, the Reds have 8 matches lined up for them. This includes two matches in the Champions League against Real Madrid. Liverpool also have a Newcastle United fixture as well as a home meeting with Manchester United. Both these fixtures could be the season-defining fixtures for them.

While Thiago Alcantara is known to have a problem with injuries, he have still managed to make 22 starts for the Reds. And have appeared as a substitute in two matches this season. However, for the match against Everton, Klopp will be able to call up Fabinho. The player missed out their defeat against Wolves due to an illness. Jordan Henderson could make a start for Liverpool as well as he is also available in the squad.
