Chennai Super Kings fans are delighted after the first day of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. Newly traded Batsman Robin Uthappa and retained batsman Narayan Jagadeesan have scored a century in their respective matches today. Uthappa has been playing for Kerala and Jagadeesan for Tamil Nadu. Maharasthra skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has included his name in TONs the party next day.
Before the IPL auction 2021, Uthappa was traded in CSK from Rajasthan Royals. As Shane Watson has been retired from all forms of cricket, CSK was busy finding someone experienced to fill his boots.
Although Ruturaj Gaikwad had shown some promising cricket in the last edition of the IPL. Whereas Jagadeesan is been there with the team since 2018 but couldn’t manage to find a place in the regular eleven.
In absence of Suresh Raina, Ruturaj got chances but failed to put up a solid impact. But in the last couple of games in the IPL, he had shown some potential and retained the trust of CSK management. So Vijay Hazare tournament is a great stage for Chennai Super Kings’ players to showcase their ability and improve their forms.
