Three Premier League Clubs In For Ibrahim Sangare

Manchester United and Chelsea have entered the race for Ibrahim Sangare. They are set to rival Liverpool for the Ivorian defensive-midfielder. The midfielder played 43 games last season for PSV in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and notching up 2 assists. However, these numbers do not tell the whole story.

A powerhouse in the centre of the park. Sangare is an elite tackler. He is a formidable presence in the middle of the park, who can break up counterattacks and recycle possession to keep the play ticking.

Sangare has a 35 million Euro release clause in his contract, which is an enticing opportunity to get him. Sky Sports report that Sangare insists on moving to England and believes he will play in the Premier League next season.

No Shortage of Options For Sangare

With Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all interested in the midfielder, it will be interesting to see where he finally ends up. Thomas Tuchel would like to get the ball rolling with the new owners. Their first signing could be an addition to the midfield with Sangare. Tuchel would be looking to sign cover (or possibly an alternative) for the Blues as Ngolo Kante and Matteo Kovacic struggled with injuries last season. Kante is now on the wrong side of 30, and it makes sense to start planning for the future.

Liverpool on the other hand will be ruing the loss of Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid. The Monaco midfielder was initially linked to an Anfield move. Unfortunately for them, Madrid swooped in to seal his signature for close to 100 million Euros. With Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Thiago all struggling to stay fit, Sangare can be a smart addition to the squad.

Sangare can be a nailed-on starter at Old Trafford. Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba have left the club, and the partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay has often been criticized for being too passive, and Ten Hag may be looking to upgrade it. The PSV man can add some much-needed grit and dynamism to their game.

Ibrahim Sangare has been a man in demand for quite some time now. Clubs have monitored him since his time at Toulouse. Now it remains to be seen if he can finally make the step up.
