Todd Boehly wasn’t happy with Thomas Tuchel for not playing the youngster

According to reports, Todd Boehly wasn’t happy with Thomas Tuchel for not playing Carney Chukwuemeka.

This is one of the reasons why Tuchel was sacked earlier this summer. Chelsea had a stuttering start in Premiere League this season. Todd Boehly wasn’t really happy with the performances of Thomas Tuchel’s side which got him sacked. It was a shocking decision for both players and the manager.

Todd Boehly wanted to sign Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo this summer and had already made contact with his camp. But Thomas Tuchel wasn’t very impressed with the idea of bringing a 37- year old player to Stamford. Tuchel instead wanted to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who’s been pretty good for the Blues till now.

Some conflict of interest started between Tuchel and Todd which led to the sacking of the German manager.

Boehly was frustrated with Tuchel over Chukwuemeka

According to The Athletic, Tuchel not playing Carney Chukwuemeka was one of the reasons for the conflict of interests between the two parties.

Carney Chukwuemeka was signed by the Blues from Aston Villa for a transfer fee of £20m. Todd Boehly has implemented a new structure of signing youngsters and building a project with youngster having an essential role in that. They also signed Gabriel Slonina, a young goalkeeper from MLS who’s already been training with the clubs.

Graham Potter has shown his faith in Chukwuemeka by giving him some time against Brentford. 19 – years old came on when Chelsea needed goal shows, he might now get regular playtime under Graham Potter.
