Tottenham Hotspur have made a significant amount of contracts like Radu Dragusin, Werner and Lucas Bergvill this January. Now, Tottenham boss, Ange Postecoglou, reveals what he feels about Lucas Bergvill deal. On Friday, Tottenham announced that they had secured the services of Bergvall. The player has agreed a deal with Spurs that begins in July and runs until the summer of 2029.
Although there was a tough competition from Barcelona, Spurs were able to secure the teenager. Ange Postecoglou claims that he is ready to work with the Swedish midfielder who is a very talented prospect. Speaking after 2-2 draw against Everton, the Australian said-
“He’s a very talented young man. Nice young man too, good family. He’s already had a really positive start to his career and we feel like this club will be good for him and he will be good for us.
Obviously he’ll be at his club for the remainder of this season and then he’ll join us in the summer and I’m looking forward to having him as part of the group.”
For some time, reports suggested that Tottenham are falling behind the Spanish giants for the agreement with 18-year old. However, Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein told later that Spurs are ready to get his contract penned down.
It was the final decision left on the player to decide between the English giants and the Catalan club. Tottenham will be paying a sum of £8.5m to his current club, Djurgardens in Sweden for the deal. The North London club recently played a draw against Everton and will be facing Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next Premier League fixture.
