Tottenham Hotspur are praised by Genoa’s CEO, Andres Blazquez. The praises for the club were over the transfer of one player.
Genoa’s CEO recognizes the efforts of Tottenham in beating Bayern Munich over the signing of Radu Dragusin this January. However, patience will have to be a virtue for a man who arrived in England last month, one of the very few big-money arrivals in a window of cost-cutting and FFP-dodging.
Radu Dragusin, a £26m transfer, has been more of a substitute for Postecoglou till his move. He has been subbed on in the last three games by the Australian so far. Once Dragusin will be ready for his life at North London, he will be in the list of some huge additions who transformed the backline of Spurs. Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Micky Van De Ven are classic examples for such.
Blazquez tells Tuttomercatoweb that,
“He received a very important offer on a personal level and, for us, on a corporate level. We tried to earn as much as possible (from selling him) knowing that that position was covered as best as possible.
We are happy with this transfer. Obviously, we will miss Radu both on a personal and sporting level. He is a great professional. But it is also a prestige to sell to a club like Tottenham having also had offers from Bayern. This says a lot about the work that Spurs have done.”
Besides Bayern, Dragusin also denied s move to AC Milan and Napoli previously. This shows what is the impact of Tottenham on getting the signing of a player. Another player joining Spurs over Barcelona is an 18-year old wonderkid Lucas Bergvill. He will be featuring for the North Londoners in the next season.
