Tottenham Hotspur will be facing Aston Villa in the upcoming Game Week of the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur hasn’t been in the best of form in the Premier League. Since their win against Watford, they haven’t been able to win a single game in the league.
Tottenham have lost to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal in the last three games of the season. They lost to Crystal Palace 3-0 and with the same scoreline lost to Chelsea. Against Arsenal, they lost 3-1 in quite remarkable fashion. Until Game Week 3, Tottenham hadn’t conceded a single goal. In the next 3 games, they concede 9 goals in quite the fashion. Tottenham Hotspur is currently in the 12th position in the league table.
While at the same time Aston Villa has been quite on the up in the league. They won their last game against Manchester United with the scoreline being 1-0. Currently, Aston Villa is in the 8th position in the league. Their transition after the sale of Jack Grealish has been nothing but remarkable.
Harry Kane A Worry For Tottenham Hotspur Against Aston Villa
Harry Kane has been the shadow of himself for Tottenham Hotspur recently. The player hasn’t been able to register a single goal in the Premier League this season. While being the most lethal player to play against last season. Harry Kane on the pitch seems like one of the least interested players on the pitch to play. His lack of passion could be seen in the recent North London Derby against Arsenal.
While not winning many of his duels against Ben White, He only had one shot on target. He did score a hat trick in their recent game against Mura in the UEFA Conference League. Many have viewed his attitude while playing quite unprofessional while at the same time. It has been harming the team as a whole. If he continues this attitude and style of play, Aston Villa would find it really easy in defence.
Aston Villa will mostly start in their preferred 3-5-2 formation with Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins upfront against Tottenham. It would be interesting to see if Aston Villa will tweak their system to cover Harry Kane.
If not him, they need to cover the inverted runs by Lucas and Son. It won’t be a shocker if by the end of the game Aston Villa had most of the possession of the ball. While creating the most number of chances and shots taken and even winning the game as a whole.
