Liverpool to miss Trent Alexander-Arnold on the weekend
Trent Alexander-Arnold picked up an ankle injury against PSG last month. As a result, he will be missing few games for his side. Liverpool will take on West Ham United on the weekend. After their defeat to Fulham, the Reds will be trying to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
Alisson Becker and Joe Gomez are also injured and will miss the match.. So, the league leaders will be without three players on the weekend.
The right-back suffered a blow to his ankle against PSG. He was taken off in the 72nd minute of the UCL game. The injury looked severe at the first glance.
Due to his injury, he has missed some key games for the Reds. He missed their Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United. Newcastle went onto win the Cup with a 2-1 win at the Wembley Stadium.
As per The Athletic, the player has got a severe ankle sprain. He is expected to return in the last week of April.
Liverpool coming closer to the PL title
Liverpool are just few games away from claiming the Premier League title this term. Although, they dropped points against Fulham on the weekend.
In spite of that result, they still have eleven point lead in the points table. However, they could have increased the gap to fourteen with a win over the weekend. In the meantime, Arsenal drew 1-1 against Everton on Saturday and dropped points as well.
Liverpool will take on West Ham United on the weekend. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Alisson Becker are all set to miss the game on Sunday. All three players are important members of the Liverpool squad, so it may just open a window of opportunity for the Hammers.
At least the Arsenal fans will be hoping so as they try to gain some ground on the Reds at the top of the table.
