Napoli wants to sell Victor Osimhen to Chelsea by January. Chelsea are in need of an attacking depth as well. However, at the same time, Chelsea have signed a lot of players this summer too. Many players have already been injured too. The English club were down for a while now. However, after the appointment of Enzo Maresca, they started performing very well. They had their downfall after their win in the UEFA Champions League recently. After that, however they tried to rebuild the team and failed several times as well. Chelsea now have more than enough players to win them games. However, I do no think so they need to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
How good is Victor Osimhen?
Osimhen played very well for Galatasaray. He went to Turkey on a loan. After that he scored two goals and also made two assists in three appearances. Osimhen is very good player. However, he was facing a lot of problems at Napoli and also backlashes. There were problems within the squad and he posted his frustration on social media. Victor Osimhen is most probably about to join Chelsea by January. However, the question still stands that do Chelsea really need him or not? In Galatasaray he performed really well. In Napoli even he performed very well. However, the squad in Napoli did not like him at all and there were various problems as well.
Chelsea’s abundance of strikers:
Chelsea already have Cole Palmer in the attack with various other options too. Cole Palme came to Chelsea from Manchester City as a youngster. He was a City academy player too. Cole Palmer already have become a Chelsea legend after these performances in every single match. Mauro Meluso who is the club director of Napoli said that Osimhen will be free in January. Any club who gives the right price will take the player. However, Cole Palmer have already been do good for Chelsea, scoring goals after goals. If he is to be rested then Madueke will play and if he is injured Jackson might play as striker as well.
I do not know why Chelsea is trying to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, when they already have so many players. Osimhen is also looking forward to go to a club which is stable for him. In Napoli he faced a lot of racism as well as criticism in Italy. However, he still scored so many goals and was a really great player too. Osimhen’s future is most probably not that good in Chelsea.
Will Osimhen’s future look good with Chelsea?
The reason is that there are an abundance of attackers in Chelsea. He will probably end up being the next Mudryk. Chelsea should stop signing too many new players and start to use different tactics to play better as well. Maresca already transformed Chelsea into something different since the day he joined. He is applauded and appreciated by the fans because of this. However, Todd Boehly made a mistake by signing too many players for Chelsea as well. Most of are injured and at the same time a lot of them are not getting the required play time as well.
Osimhen have been known to score too many goals for whichever clubs he goes to. It is in high doubt though if Chelsea will be the good option for him though. This is because Chelsea already wasted a lot of talents because they signed an abundance of players too. This is another reason why Osimhen should not let his talent go to waste and focus on joining another club. Chelsea already have an abundance of players in every position.
